A little bit about us...
The purpose of the WRFM & Optimization is to provide a single, control framework for managing and operating Producing Assets in Shell. A team of dedicated professionals with over 500 years of combined experience in the digitalization of asset operations in the Energy Sector. The AMS framework describes a set of processes needed to organize asset management capabilities, ensuring that activities are performed consistently in a joined-up manner and systematically improved to deliver excellent sustainable business outcomes. It includes mandatory elements (through Standards and Manuals) and non-mandatory elements (through Recommended Practices), and should be used in conjunction with other Shell Control Framework requirements, for example the HSSE & SP Control Framework, Opportunity Realization Process (ORS) etc. The Surface Engineering Technology Platform is a combination of software tools, proprietary knowledge, and people to enable significant value generation through Advanced Technical Services (ATS) and software development for Shell’s New Energies, Upstream, Integrated Gas, and Downstream businesses. An Integrated Production System Model (IPSM) is designed to represent a fully integrated production system of reservoirs and their connections to common surface facilities via wells and flowlines.

Integrated Production System Modeling
IPSM is Integrated real-time measured readings with the oil/gas field physical model to calculate key physical conditions along the production system.Integrated Production System Modelling (IPSM) enables and enhances multi-disciplinary input to business deliverables. It is a software model of the production system tuned to match real-world performance.
IPM
It is used for creating integrated production system models which represents the field with its physics-based models

IFM
It is used for running optimization workflows on top of engineering models, using real time data.
Integrated Field Management is a platform to build and integrate business and field management workflows. IFM – is a client - server - database system, connects models to PI, EC and other systems. Adds model management and automated task workflows [ not all assets]. Model Catalogue is a component of IFM that provides an environment for storage and collaborative use of models.
IVM
It is used for visualization in a single portal
Integrated Visualization Management (IVM) is a software solution that bridges the gap between data sources and sophisticated Petroleum Engineering analytical & modelling tools to provide engineers, operators, and management a way to organize and visualize the data and trends. Often, with IVM's analytical capabilities such as advanced trending, XY plots and Horner plots, decisions can be made, and actions can be taken quickly without the need for further analysis.

Surface Engineering
The Surface Engineering, has the primary responsibility of supporting and upkeeping the Process Engineering Tools portfolio, in global Shell companies. The products are indispensable for process engineering activities in greenfield and brownfield projects, plant operations, revamps and troubleshooting process upsets. It actively collaborates with Shell businesses and project teams in developing, integrating and improving business solutions derived from the use of these Tools. The year-on-year "value" derived from the use of PE Tools is of the order of 50 Mln$/year.
