HxSTAR Graphical User Interface (GUI) is a standardized user-friendly interface for using kinetic models HDSTAR (hydrotreating model), HDSTAR (hydrocracking model), SAM (Shell Alkylation Model) and SHIM (Shell Isomerization Model). HxSTAR is an Excel-like interface to many of the Shell process models, which must be installed separately. HxSTAR provides CAPE-Open capability for process models such that they can be integrated into other applications such as PROMOTE.
