SynSim is a tool which simulates the various reactions that take place during the gasification of heavy oil residues inside the reactor. The input data to SynSim includes the reactor type, the feed compositions and their flowrates, operating conditions. The output parameters calculated by the program include the sootmake, reactor outlet compositions and flowrates, power and H2 generation.
