SmartConnect is a global initiative to provide a common web enabled technology platform for on-line condition monitoring of rotating equipment with varying levels of Smartness in Shell Business worldwide.
- Monitors many critical Rotating Equipment (pumps, compressors, turbines etc.) across Shell Business.
- Uses WRFM&O (WRFM & Optimization) and MEC (Manage Equipment Care) for Diagnostics and Event detection.
- Dashboard representation to Retrieve KPI for train level run status and utilization.
- Retrieve operating envelop and failure mode violations, display results, recommended actions, and Operational risks.
- Retrieve process data for health monitoring of machinery (pumps, compressors, turbines) and trend results.
- Smartconnect using First-principal models does almost Realtime thermodynamics calculations on the Raw sensor data and generates the important attributes more useful to Site Engineers.
- Smartconnect integration with EBS helps in finding Events with Probable Cause, Recommended Solutions and Notification of Contact Person.
