There has always been a great challenge in knowing proactively on well’s/flowlines health in case of any anomaly or deviation from set range of operating envelopes. Knowing anomalies at last minute via alerts through DCS result in reactive responses which ,may arrest the failure or loss to some extent. But, put asset on NPT due to interventions required for maintenance/bringing it back into normalized condition of operating set of range.

But, not to worry as we beg to differ on production deferments and ensure safe sustained operations.

Solution

Using PI vision is a digital solution developed to optimize and safeguard production. This provides a dynamic data consolidation and visualization platform, enabling onshore and offshore to focus on production optimization. The ultimate aim is to increase visibility and rapidly identify off-trend performance with dynamic operating envelopes, limit diagrams and real-time integrated production system optimization across the separator-to-market value chain.  The visualizations show live oil and gas export and current water production, providing data comparison of today and yesterday. There is also view of production process covering wells, flow lines and chemicals. Optimax in UK is an example of such solution delivered through PI.

Hence, no operator or WRFM analyst need not to be scared as they would have sufficient time to devise right solutions in case ,the well needs a ram up or down, optimizing productivity index etc. by monitoring different parameters on screen like Well flow output, wellbore pressure, temperature, flowlines, chemicals, produced water capacity.

The data collected and visualized is critical for trend analysis. Any gaps or downtime on screen will tend to have difficulty in ensuring well integrity, exercise production optimization and increasing the chances of well damage. If downtime is high , a huge data gap will happen for no data gets uploaded or saved on server during downtime.
